Southwest women defeat Columbia
The 5th-ranked Southwest women's basketball team defeated Columbia State 95-71 last Wednesday night at the Verties Sails Gymnasium and Saint Catharine 80-66 on the road Saturday afternoon to improve to 17-0 on the season.

In the Columbia State game, sophomore guard Daumonique Lenhardt scored a career-high 25 points and also led the team with six assists and five steals. In addition, two players had double-doubles - sophomore guard Candace Rucker with 19 points and 10 rebounds, and sophomore forward Starkitsha Luellen with 13 points and a career-high 20 rebounds (including 14 offensive boards).

Southwest men lose to Saint Catharine
The Southwest men's basketball team lost to Saint Catharine College 88-83 on the road Saturday afternoon in Saint Catharine, Kentucky, dropping its record to 17-3 overall and 8-2 in the TJCCAA. Top scorers for the Saluqis were sophomores A.J. Nance (19 points) and Emmanuel Cheers (17 points), and freshman DeAngelo Riley (10 points).

Last Wednesday at the Verties Sails Gymnasium, freshman Jeremy Rodgers scored a career-high 19 points and freshman Markecio Beal had a double-double with 12 points and a career-high 16 rebounds to lead Southwest to a 106-87 win over Columbia State.
